    Vintage Township

I am from Vintage Township, a Traditional Neighborhood Design in Lubbock, Texas. We saw the need for a more comfortable scale and a more walkable community so we opened Vintage to the public in 2007.

All of the positive consequences you have made in this post have been recognized by residents. We received nothing but rave reviews (http://www.vintagetownship.com/sub.asp?Parent=Testimonials&Child=Home) especially during neighborhood events held in our central square.

Hope this helps when deciding to or not to push for a Traditional Neighborhood Design in your area. We say "Go for it!"

The Main Problem is that Franklin has never had a Traditional Downtown...and it never will. There's too many large thoroughfares, the taxation is ridiculously high already. You'd need to split Franklin into smaller towns in order for this to happen. It was only 10 years ago that Rawson was a 2 lane 35 MPH road. Even though there's more and more people and businesses moving into Franklin, the taxation is not lowering...making this impossible to pass.
