Terrence Berres' blog, The Provincial Emails, links here in the context of "those who say Franklin epitomizes the faults of suburbia."
I hope I'm being clear in my analysis of Franklin's planning and growth struggles that my issues are with the idiosyncrasies involved in attempting to create a real community - - physical and otherwise - - and not the people here. In fact, my family plans to move in the near future, and we're relocating within Franklin precisely because the schools and people here are wonderful.
Terrence raises a good point, though. I'll have to be sure to post items about the many positive aspects of Franklin alongside the usual suburban frustrations. For people who live here, there is much to be thankful for and potentially much to look forward to (two dangling prepositions for the price of one).
And the Franklin High School football team - - undefeated all season - - won the state championship in overtime!
