Franklin blogger Greg Kowalski (also a member of the now-toothless Franklin Environmental Commission) has made no secret of his dissatisfaction with the layout of Shoppes at Wyndham Village, in particular the cookie-cutter Target store proposed as co-anchor for the development.
Greg's a young guy (21 years old, I believe) which makes him an easy target for the "establishment" blogger at Franklinnow.com, Kevin Fischer (right wing fill-in radio host and employee of Republican state senator Mary Lazich) who delights in reminding us (and his readers) of Greg's youth and the fact that he does not yet pay property taxes - - which, I suppose, somehow renders Greg's opinions moot.
Greg's an idealistic guy; he's posted a petition here where he is trying to gather names to present to the powers-that-be in Franklin regarding the low quality Target site plan Franklin is apparently more than willing to accept. While he may have shot himself in the foot a bit by making the language of the petition a bit too specific, here's hoping that people bother to add their names along with a comment or two.
Thanks John for mentioning me! I know people in Franklin are concerned about architecture.
If some only want to sign for the Target part of the petition, they can do so. They just need to put that in the comments box. I can sort out the signatures later when I feel there's enough to present.
Once again, thanks for the link-up on your blog. It's much appreciated! And folks, all I'm asking for is a minute of your time. It will be well worth it!!
