I wonder how the developer is going to fill all of that empty retail space near the new Wal-Mart? Certainly no specialty retailer would try to co-exist with THE world's retail giant would they? Now that I think about it; why would Wal-Mart need specialty retailers in the same retail developement when they could just add space in their new store and sell the same specialty products as their neighbors. Afterall, the smaller, specialty "niche" retailers don't stand a chance against Wal-Mart anyway. Why even bother trying to compete? Makes you wonder doesn't it?

This is a real clash of cultures - Wal-Mart thrives out on the fringes surrounded by asphalt.
