There used to be a small shop called Salchow Service Station on 51st Street operated by Gust Salchow. The barn and remains of the service station were open during the auction and I have some pictures posted on Flickr. It was a fascinating morning.
By the way: Entire beer can collections go for about $19 nowadays.
Are you kidding me? Was this today? I would have loved to have seen this!

The auction was on SATURDAY, and I only found out because I drove by the mass of cars parked there on my way home.
The people there seemed to consist of "auction people" (i.e. people who regularly attend auctions) rather than Franklin locals - - didn't see ANYONE I knew there.

Well...next time...call me! I'll just have to make sure my tetnus shot is up-to-date. But right now, I'm good to go until 2012.
