A community Arts Center in the era of big screen TV's and backyard Rainbow playsets?

 

What used to be a common community amenity is now a rare novelty. Here in Franklin, the idea of an arts center is met with grumpy indignation.

My goodness - the very idea that public money be used for a public amenity in the era of the bigscreen TV and Rainbow playsets ....
