Serious storm last night - power lines and trees down in my neighborhood. Of course, living in a cul-de-sac means NO OTHER WAY OUT until the power lines are removed.
GREAT JOB by the power company, though; power restored by 2:45ish a.m., even with lines still down.
Wow
Living a block away from you - Our power did not come back on until 4am. Neighbors at the bottom of 46th had flooding as they live right next to one of the offshoots of the Root River.

When I saw the power lines down, trees snapped, debris everywhere, I thought for sure the whole city was a mess. Evidently the "downburst" was very localized in a few unlucky areas.
I looked out the window before heading downstairs, and it was the most violent combination of wind, rain and debris that I ever saw. Pretty incredible.

It was amazing to see the powerline posts snapped like toothpicks. I agree the damage was very localized.
